What started with a lawn mower in 1969, has blossomed into a family of nurseries providing its customers with an incredible selection of plants and trees plus professional gardening and landscaping expertise.  After more than 30 years in Richardson and Edgewood, Bruce Miller Nursery’s opened its Prosper location in March 2002 located on West Prosper Trail.

The Bruce Miller Nursery business began in 1969 when Bruce Miller started mowing lawns to supplement his income.  Bruce borrowed his brother’s lawnmower to get the business started. Bruce and Kay lived in central Richardson at the time and then moved in 1975 when they bought their farm in Edgewood in the piney woods of East Texas.  Edgewood is now the first home of most of the Bruce Miller Nursery plants.  In 1979, the Miller’s nursery business was growing and they needed to re-establish their Richardson location to keep up with the demands of the business. In August 2001, the new store in Prosper was opened to provide service to the newest and fast growing area of the Metroplex.  Steve Bayouth, is the General Manager, partner and son-in-law of Bruce and Kay Miller. He and his wife Tiffany are enjoying a new generation of gardeners.  Their son, Jake was born in October 2001 and their daughter, Caroline was born in October 2004.  Howard Little is the manager of the Prosper location.

The Bruce Miller Nursery staff is professionally trained to help gardeners with all types of solutions for their landscaping and gardening needs.  Kay Miller says, “Our staff is so qualified and knowledgeable they really love what they’re doing and love to answer any questions about gardening and plants.  If someone needs ideas for planting, they’re all ready to help”.  Everyone in the Bruce Miller Nursery family takes pride in the personal service they are able to provide to their customers.
Many professional landscapers send their own customers to Bruce Miller Nursery to choose from their large variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and annual color. 
Bruce Miller Nursery provides its retail and wholesale customers with beautiful Texas grown plants, flowers and trees. They will also plant and guarantee their trees.
Landscaping is the finishing touch to any new or existing home. Trees add beauty and shade, which is essential during Texas, dry hot summers!  Shrubs and flowers add to a home curb appeal and value.  A huge selection spreads over 11 acres at the new Prosper location.

Bruce Miller Nursery locations are open Monday through Friday 7:30am-5:30pm, Saturday from 8am-5pm and Sunday from 10am-5pm and on Sunday from 9am-3pm.
